A Prayer to See the Everlasting Significance of Offering a Meal

A stumped toe … take a meal
Admittedly, the final assertion is an exaggeration, however not by a lot… Rising up Southern signifies that taking a meal to others in want is as pure as respiratory; it’s simply one thing we do.

The Lord doesn’t excuse our excuses: we do not have the time, we do not have the cash, we do not have the culinary abilities, and so forth. Ask God to alter this mentality and refocus, trying outward as an alternative of inward at self, for this isn’t nearly meals; it is about following within the steps of the one who fed the lots as a result of he was moved with compassion and served supper to his disciples after humbly washing their ft. It’s about exhibiting the love of Christ and being the arms and ft of our Savior to these round us, saved and misplaced. It is about trying past ourselves and checking our private consolation in on the door, sacrificing for others as Christ did for us.
If God didn’t spare his solely son to return stay amongst us after which lay down his life for us, absolutely we will seize a casserole and a bagged salad, pack the youngsters within the automotive, and take a meal to somebody, even when it means giving up just a few Comfortable Meals to make another person just a little happier. Bear in mind, our actions, not our well-meaning intentions, reveal the love of our Heavenly Father.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, allow us to keep in mind that serving others is in the end serving You.
